Chłapowo

Piękne, czyste plaże

Originally, the village was called Klappow and this name was first recorded in 1378. Its development took place in the late l8th century.

An historic survives from that period Chłapowo is the home village of the writer Augustyn Necel, author of "The Cutters with Red Sails", "The Bloodstorm", "The Saga of a Swedish Cottage", "Imprisoned by the White Purteks"and a series of historical essays entitled "We shall not yisld our land". Features of interest to tourists include the vlllage's characteristic architecture and the Chłapowski Ravine, also called the Rudnikowy Ravine or Rudnik.
